If I only have damage on one or two sides of my house, will my insurance company cover all of my siding?

Q: If I only have damage on one or two sides of my house, will my insurance company cover all of my siding?

A: As a contractor, we cannot comment specifically about insurance policy. What we can tell you is that over 95% of all the homeowners we have worked with ended up getting their siding and/or roof replaced in its entirety. Many times the gutters and window wraps may also be covered.

What happens if I don't get the claim approved by my insurance?

Q: What happens if I don't get the claim approved by my insurance?

A: If your insurance does not approve your claim but we see the damages, we will advocate on your behalf to the insurance company. If for some reason the damages are not covered you will not have any costs due to us.

Why can't I just have the insurance company come and take a look and tell me if there's damages?

Q: Why can't I just have the insurance company come and take a look and tell me if there's damages?

A: Many people don’t realize that the insurance company doesn’t automatically pay their claim. It is your responsibility to prove your claim or damages in order to cover a loss. When a disaster occurs, the insurance company has adjusters, engineers, claims managers and supervisors, all representing them and ready to deny your claim. Who do you have on your side representing yours? We work with you to recover the loss and get your claim approved just as you are entitled to by paying your monthly or yearly insurance premium. It is your right!

Why is it important to repair the damages right away?

Q: Why is it important to repair the damages right away?

A: There are several reasons why, but the most important one is for safety reasons. An unrepaired siding may not have severe consequences, but a damaged roof can. The other major reason is because your insurance company will cover the repair of these damages, provided you have a replacement cost policy that covers these natural disasters, but for a limited time only. The time limit varies depending on the insurance you have. Most insurances give you a year from the storm that caused your damages to repair your property. If you miss this deadline, you will have to repair the damages as an out of pocket expense, which can get very high.

How do I know if my house has hail damage?

Q: How do I know if my house has hail damage?

A: Some hail damage is obvious and other damages are hidden & you won't know until their consequences start to affect you months or years later.
The damage on siding is more clear under certain lighting conditions. A home's siding can look normal one minute and damaged the next, depending on the angle of the sun to the house.
With roof damage it is extremely possible not to have immediate consequences. It is more of a silent and slowly advancing damage that you will not be aware of until it has gotten bad. It starts from the outside but eventually it will eat its way into your home. A lot of people don't realize it until there's leaks inside the home and unfortunately, sometimes even mold. Roof damage is a lot harder to see with the untrained eye.
It is EXTREMELY important to have your home assessed for storm damages after severe storms. If you are not sure whether your home has suffered damages, you should ask an expert to inspect it for you. Call us for an absolutely FREE DAMAGE ASSESSMENT to determine if your home has suffered any significant damages that should be repaired before they get worse.
